Ava is the cornerstone of Katywinds, a foundation bitch who holds a special place in our hearts. Hailing from New York, she is co-owned by myself and her breeder, Erica Tortorella of Lexington Mastiffs.

With her gentle nature and affectionate demeanor, Ava is loved by everyone she meets. She’s especially kind and easygoing with children, puppies, and any new experience that comes her way. Truly the embodiment of the "gentle giant" nickname, Ava consistently demonstrates the Mastiff breed’s remarkable temperament and beauty. She is a fantastic ambassador, showing the world how loving and noble Mastiffs truly are.

Ava is the epitome of a classic Mastiff—exuding grandeur, dignity, and the perfect head proportions. Her strong, muscular build, coupled with powerful bone structure, gives her a commanding presence. Her powerful gait and striking appearance capture the attention of both judges and spectators alike, showcasing the strength and grace that define the breed.

Despite her young age, Ava accomplished so much in her career. She earned her Canadian Championship at just 7 months old, followed by her Canadian Grand Championship at 17 months. Ava continued to excel, earning multiple group placements and finishing 2023 as the #2 Mastiff and #1 Mastiff Bitch in Canada.

After whelping a large litter in February 2024, Ava traveled to Clymer, New York, to take part in the prestigious Mastiff Club of America's Specialty Week. The event began with the MCOA Independent Specialty, hosted by the Empire State Mastiff Fanciers and judged by the highly regarded breeder Bernard Le Courtois from France. Among 126 of North America's top Mastiffs, Ava made a remarkable impression, earning WB, BOW, BOB, and BOBOH. Her success continued at the MCOA National, where, under esteemed breeder judge Cat Zavoras, she once again stood out, securing WB, BOW, and BOBOH. These wins culminated in Ava completing her American Championship, solidifying her reputation as one of the breed's most notable bitches.
